Augment Reality vs mafia

Realtà Aumentata vs mafia
This project was a tribute to Giovanni Falcone and Paolo Borsellino using the Augmented Reality at Piazza Politeama in Palermo - 19/10/2013
Giovanni Falcone and Paolo Borsellino were two magistrates who had become leaders of the struggle against Cosa Nostra, they were both murdered in 1992 by savage mafia bombs.
Years later, a Sicilian artist dedicated them 2 statues that where vandalised and destroyed the same night.
The idea of my project is based on Falcone's sentence that states «Men pass, ideas remain. Their moral tensions remain and they will continue to walk on the legs of other men ". Therefore, no matter if Mafia killed them or their statues got destroyed, their ideas still walk with us; and now, thanks to the Augmented Reality, we can still see their statues and no one can vandalise them like no one can cancel the great ideas they passed to us.

Below some screenshot from the live project.
Following the presentation made about my thesis for the last exam at the Academy of Fine Art of Milan.
